• Tender floated on GeM portal.

• Agreement to lease has been signed on 09.09.2022 in between IDCO & GEDCOL.

• DPR has been prepared.Tender to be floated shortly.

• Work order issued to GERMI for DPR preparation.

• GEDCOL submitted the DPR to 4th SWC for in-principle approval in favour of GEDCOL for implementation of the project.
• As per decision in 4th SWC, the proposal will be revised & re-submitted.

• The revised DPR has been prepared by GEDCOL based on design discharge of Kanpur Main Canal i.e. 35.05 Cumec.
• The revised installed capacity is 3MW(2X1.5 MW) instead of 4.2 MW.
• DPR has been submitted to EIC(Elecy)-cum-PCEI,Odisha and EIC(Water Resourcses), Odisha for their considered views and comments.
• Chief Construction Engineer, Kanupur Irrigation Project approved the project layout.
• After obtaining approval from cocerned authorities and completing the required procedures, the project will commence.

Project will be taken up after getting confirmation of Water availability from Department of Water Resources as the water availability depends on construction of Ichha dam (in Jharkhand) which is in the upstream of the Jambhira dam. Construction work of Ichha Dam is under progress

WAPCOS has submitted the Detailed Project Report(DPR) which is under scrutiny.

Work Order has been issued to M/s WAPCOS for preparation of Feasibility Report.

GEDCOL has been prepared Feasibility Report(FR) for following five nos. of Small Hydro Electric Project with an approximate capacity of 59.5 MW and also submitted the same to the State Nodal Agency(GRIDCO).

• European Union Consortium has conducted studies on 12 hydro & irrigation reservoirs in the State and prepared PFR for approximately 5040 MW floating solar potential on 17,800 acres of water surface area in Nov. 2019
• DPR for 2 large scale reservoirs in Hirakud and Indravati with capacity of 500 MW & 160 MW respectively has been prepared by European Union.
• As per decision of 4th SWC, the proposal will be re-submitted after discussion with RE Nodal Agency GRIDCO, OPTCL and Water Resource Department.

• Contract Agreement is executed with EPC Contractor for setting up of 10 MW Mandira,SHEP
Survey work completed
• Site office, Store, Staff Accomodation, labour shed completed. Installation of batching plant completed.
Quality control lab established.
• Leased Deed has been signed with District Collector, Sundergarh.
• Excavation of Approach Conduit, Penstock, Tailrace Pool and Tail Race Channel is under progress.
• Some Major drawings and designs of the power Houses are approved by the competent authority of GSPCL.
• The work has been commenced and the project to be commissioned by 2026-27
